With in-built protection diodes the PC-BEE's 14 high voltage switches can directly connect to a wide range of devices including Electric Motors,  Relays,  Lamps.....In fact anything that can be operated by a simple DC electronic switch.

Supplied with the PC-BEE is the BeeStep control software.  This is a full editing suite for creating your own switch sequencer programs.  Simply enter you pattern of On/Offs and the duration of each step for up to 10,000 steps followed by RUN to  watch your connected devices respond according to your programmed sequence. No computer programming knowledge is required.
The PC-BEE is designed to be simple to use even for the complete beginner with full instructions on how to connect devices and create your switch sequences.  However, if and when you progress to more elaborate designs or you are already a competent programmer or electronics enthusiast, the PC-BEE can be used with your own programs. Full details of the board connections and example source code are provided to allow you to quickly get up to speed. For more information on writing visual basic programs for PC-Bee follow this link VB Programming.
Information on programming in C++ is available within the manual, which may be downloaded below.
For the more advanced user the PC-BEE also has an expansion connector giving access to the basic USB Adaptor Chip Signals provided by the FTDI 245BM device. This allows it to be used as a flexible and very powerful USB to parallel interface adaptor. This opens the door to connecting it to your own board and experimenting with attached micro-controllers such as the popular PIC Micro range. A standard USB lead (not included) is needed to connect the PC-BEE to your computer .
